Our existing customer Movement Climbing and Fitness really wanted us to build their new state of the art Climbing Facility in Denver so we took on the challenge. One aspect of the design was installing a ventilation air system. Most contractors would simply install a large MAU with a simple control strategy, but not Timberline. Our customer Movement has always been really interested in energy conservation. As a result, we worked with a local vendor to select a direct fired make up air unit with both a direct and indirect evaporative cooling section. Timberline also installed a building automation control system to stage the cooling section based off outdoor enthalpy. The same automation system also ramps up and down based upon the CO levels in the building (demand ventilation). The system provides the proper ventilation, while using the least amount of energy possible.
